Bellwether Names New Director in New Orleans
Industry veteran Todd Johnson will have a pivotal role in Bellwether’s equity markets business.

New Orleans—Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC announced that Todd Johnson has recently joined the firm as director of equity products, and will be based in the company’s New Orleans office. Prior to joining Bellwether, Johnson was founding and managing partner of Brush Island Capital, a boutique, private equity real estate firm specializing in arranging institutional joint venture equity for real estate transactions and real estate operators.
Johnson’s previous work was focused on multifamily transactions, acquisitions and recapitalizations. “(…) He will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our equity markets business,” Ned Huffman, president of Bellwether Enterprise, said in a prepared statement. With close to 15 years of real estate equity financing experience, Todd’s robust industry experience and entrepreneurial spirit will be a valuable asset in expanding the capacity of our work nationwide.”
In his extensive professional experience, Todd Johnson also led urban, condominium development for Atlanta-based Minerva Real Estate investments. Bellwether’s new director of equity products holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Millsaps College.
