Azura Living Opens Milwaukee-Area Senior Community

The developer started the project in late 2024.

Azura Living has launched Azura Mukwonago, a 72-unit senior community in Mukwonago, Wis. McShane Construction Co. served as the general contractor, while EUA oversaw architecture and design.

The project faced some delays, as the completion was previously planned for December 2025.

Located at 215 Chapman Farm Blvd., Azura Mukwonago is just west of Wisconsin Highway 83. Downtown Milwaukee is less than 30 miles northeast.

The property includes three structures on some 6 acres—two assisted living homes and one memory care building. The community also comprises a barn spanning 1,100 square feet that serves as a storage facility.

The pet-friendly assisted living homes feature studio, one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 424 to 558 square feet. Meanwhile, memory care floorplans range from 283 to 416 square feet.

Shared amenities encompass multiple community rooms, kitchens and dining rooms, a fitness area, a spa, a salon and a community garden. Other exterior property features include a putting green and bocce ball courts, as well as walking paths.

There is a significant decline in senior housing development projects in the last four years, according to a recent market update. A little over 16,000 units were underway in major markets as of December 2025, showcasing the lowest pipeline since 2012.
