AvalonBay’s Ron Ladell Promoted to Senior Vice President

Arlington, Va.—AvalonBay Communities Inc., a real estate investment trust (REIT), announced that Ron Ladell has been promoted to senior vice president, development. Ladell has led AvalonBay’s development efforts in New Jersey since late 2002.

Ladell joined AvalonBay in November 2002. During his tenure with the company, AvalonBay has developed four properties, including those in West Long Branch, Tinton Falls, Lyndhurst and Lawrenceville. Currently, AvalonBay has four additional communities under construction in Wood-Ridge, North Bergen, Hackensack and Somerset, and plans on starting construction on additional communities in 2012.

Ladell is recognized as one of the industry’s leading executives in New Jersey. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Apartment Association, a Director of PlanSmart New Jersey, a Founding Member of New Jersey Mixed-Use Developers and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Real Estate Forum.
