AMCAL Promotes Ramirez to EVP

Agoura Hills, Calif.–AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc., A California-based workforce housing builder, has promoted Maurice Ramirez to executive vice president. Ramirez will oversee AMCAL’s development and asset management departments, be involved in all aspects of organizational development and management as it relates to the company and its affiliates, and manage project development through the different departments, including acquisitions, development, finance, construction and accounting.

With more than 25 years of experience, Ramirez has contributed to the acquisition and development of 5,000 units of affordable housing and has worked to fund the development of an additional 7,000 to 10,000 apartments and more than 200,000 square feet of commercial space. Since joining AMCAL in 2006 as vice president of operations and development, Ramirez has played an integral part in the company’s growth, contributing to the successful development of AMCAL’s last 32 communities throughout California.

Prior to joining AMCAL, Ramirez worked for some of Los Angeles’ leading housing funding and development organizations, including Los Angeles Housing Partnership, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, City of Los Angeles Housing Department and managed the Los Angeles County Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS.
