Totaling some 800 units, The Accend Cos.’ buildings are situated in San Antonio, Tampa, Fla., and Norfolk, Va.
The Accend Cos. has selected Allied Orion Group to manage three off-base military and corporate housing communities. The portfolio comprises the 336-unit The Flats at Big Tex in San Antonio, the 288-unit M South in Tampa, Fla., and the 180-unit The Watermark in Norfolk, Va.
In mid-March, Allied was tapped to manage two luxury communities in Houston.
The Flats at Big Tex is situated at 423 Blue Star St. within walking distance of the River Walk Trail. The property is 7 miles from Fort Sam Houston, 11 miles from Lackland Air Force Base and less than 20 miles from Randolph Air Force Base. The military property comprises studio, one- and two-bedroom options in six three- and four-story buildings. Common-area amenities include two bark parks, a pool, a fitness center and package lockers.
Completed in 2018, M South is located at 5110 South Manhattan Ave., 4 miles from the MacDill Air Force Base. The property consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with common-area amenities that include a car wash/cleaning station, business center and outdoor bar with demo kitchen. The eight three-story buildings are less than 7 miles from downtown Tampa.
Situated at 7221 Newport Ave., The Watermark is 4 miles from Naval Station Norfolk, as well as 3 miles from the intersection of interstates 64 and 564. The property came online in 2017 and features studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Common-area amenities include a saltwater pool, fitness center, and outdoor kitchen.
