Allied Orion Group has been chosen to manage Cameron South Park, a 309-unit apartment community in Charlotte, N.C. Arel Capital owns the property, which it acquired from The Connor Group in November 2016 for $49 million, according to Mecklenburg County public records.
Located in the city’s SouthPark neighborhood, the upscale property at 6316 Cameron Forest Lane sits on 37 acres of land and is approximately six miles east of the intersection of interstates 77 and 485. The SouthPark shopping center is located within two miles. The apartment community’s 45 buildings were constructed between 1984 and 1985, and were originally known as Alexander Place.
Amenity Package
Cameron South Park offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 788 to 1,005 square feet, with rental rates from $1,014 to $1,584 per month. A number of amenities are available for residents, including two swimming pools with sun decks, an outdoor kitchen, a fitness center, a dog park and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. According to Yardi Matrix data, the property was fully leased as of November 2017.
“We are excited about our recent expansion in the Charlotte market and to continue our management partnership with Arel Capital,” said Ian Douglas, chief operating officer of Allied Orion Group, in a prepared statement. “We plan to have a sizable presence in the South Atlantic market over the next couple of years and are fully committed to the success of our team members and the communities we have been entrusted to operate.”
Earlier this year, Allied Orion Group was also contracted to manage a 90-unit active senior community near Houston, Texas.
