Alabama Builder Named 2012 Professional Women in Building Council Chair
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council installed its 2012 leadership team this month at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Fla.
Washington, D.C.—The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council installed its 2012 leadership team this month at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Fla.
Alicia Huey of Birmingham, Ala., will serve as chair of the council after serving last year as vice chair and regional trustee. As chair of the PWB Council, Huey will manage the council’s business and represent the interests of the council members throughout NAHB.
Huey is president of AGH Homes Inc., which she founded in 2000. She has been involved with the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders (GBAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Alabama (HBAA). In 2008 Huey was inducted to the GBAHB Hall of Fame. On a national level, Huey was honored as the 2008 BUILD-PAC Champion of the Year as a BUILD-PAC proponent and a top fundraiser. That same year she was also honored as PWB’s Woman of the Year.
Linda Hebert with Diversified Marketing and Communications in Pleasonton, Calif., will serve as the PWB vice chair and regional trustee. As regional trustee, Hebert will serve as oversight for area trustees in Region E, which encompasses Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, and designated PWB committees and working groups.
