Jonathan Rose Cos. LLC named Kelly Boyer as West Coast director in their newly acquired Rose Community Capital business in Los Angeles. Purchased as part of the company’s acquisition of Forest City’s affordable housing business in March, the firm will expand on Forest City Capital’s 47-year history of providing FHA loans to clients in the Midwest and the Northeast.
In her new position, Boyer will work with the company’s New York-based acquisitions team, sourcing new investment opportunities on the West Coast, including direct investments and joint ventures, as well as managing operating partner relationships. She will also originate, coordinate, process and close company and third party loans involving the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Federal Housing Administration mortgage insurance program.
Boyer was formerly HUD FHA/MAP director and FHA chief underwriter for Citibank N.A./Citi Community Capital. She was previously the U.S. Department of Housing and Development Los Angeles Multifamily Hub director. Boyer is a Capital University Law School graduate.
Jonathan Rose Cos. anticipates increasing its acquisition activities to build on its current base of real estate assets on the West Coast, which includes affordable and mixed income, retail and office buildings. The new West Coast office marks the fifth location for Jonathan Rose Cos.
