Boston—Atlanta-based Wood Partners recently started leasing at The Slate at Andover, a new 224-unit mixed-income community that broke ground just one year ago.

In its final form, the property will include two four-story buildings showcasing several single-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans. The first building is already open for leasing, while the second will be completed this summer. The project involved WP East Builders as general contractor and was designed by The Architectural Team of Chelsea. The property is managed by Wood Residential Services, the developer’s property management arm.

The pet-friendly community at 50 Woodview Way is situated less than three miles from central Andover and within a 45-minute ride from downtown Boston via I-93/Northern Expressway. Located a few hundred feet away from I-93’s exit 43, The Slate at Andover was built on the grounds of the former Rolling Green Golf Course. Wood Partners bought the golf course in June 2014 for a reported $12 million.

In terms of location and surrounding amenities, the property offers a great selection of nearby good schools, retailers, dining options, and major employers, including Pfizer, IRS, Verizon, Gillette, and Raytheon. Onsite amenities include a resident lounge, saltwater pool, outdoor lounge, in-unit washers and dryers, two fitness centers, sports grounds, dog park, workspaces and meeting rooms, billiards and game area, and private grilling areas.

“From empty-nesters to young families to working professionals, The Slate at Andover was designed to appeal to a range of residents looking for a luxury living experience that stands out within the region,” said Carolyn Zern, vice president of development with Wood Partners, in a prepared statement.
