Wood Partners Breaks Ground on Suburban Dallas Community
The 288-unit Alta 289 in Plano is slated for completion in late fall with preleasing beginning in the summer.
Wood Partners has begun construction on Alta 289, a 288-unit multifamily community in Plano, Texas. Completion of the project is expected by late fall with preleasing set to begin in August.
With Alta 289, Wood Partners will manage more 4,300 units in Texas. The Atlanta-based firm announced earlier this month leasing had begun for Alta Tech Ridge, a 230-unit property in Austin, Texas. The new project is also the second developed by Wood Partners in the Plano area within the last five years. Wood Partners broke ground on Alta Market Central, a 300-unit luxury community which has since been sold, in June 2014.
Located at 7950 Preston Road, Alta 289 will have a combination of one-, two- and three-bedroom units with an average unit size of 913 square feet. Outdoor amenities will include a pool and dog park. Interior amenities will feature Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, Moen fixtures, solar window shades and Yale keyless entry.
“We are very excited to bring Alta 289 to market in the fall of 2019,” Ryan Miller, managing director for Wood Partners, said in a prepared statement. “This community will offer top of the line finishes and resident amenities in a highly desirable market with great access to Legacy West and numerous restaurant, retail and recreational activities.”
The community is also in close proximity to State Highway 121 and Dallas North Tollway, providing direct access to major employers including Toyota, Liberty Mutual, JPMorgan Chase and others located in the Legacy West development. The Stonebriar Mall is also nearby along with other retail, restaurant and entertainment options.
