Wood Partners Breaks Ground in Houston
Delivery of the luxury project will coincide with another Texas community the firm is currently developing.

Wood Partners has broken ground on a luxury community in Cypress, Texas, a suburb of Houston. The property, Alta Cypress Springs, is set to feature 330 units.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom community is being designed by Design Balance. Situated on Fry Road, south of FM 529, Alta Cypress Spring’s amenities will include a pool, an outdoor kitchen, a fitness center, a business center and entertainment areas. Individual apartments will have washers and dryers and reserved parking spots.
Residents will have access to downtown Houston located southeast of the property and the larger area through the Grand Parkway, Interstate 10 and US 290. In proximity to the asset are retail, dining and entertainment options. Grocery-anchored centers and attractions nearby include Katy Mills Mall, Andretti Indoor Karting and the Typhoon Texas Waterpark. Outdoor green spaces with walking and biking trails close to the community include George Bush Park, Cullen Park and Creek Pioneers Park.
The community is near major employers, including Shell USA, Academy Sports + Outdoors, BP Corp. North America, Toshiba, Igloo and Houston Methodist West Hospital.
Alta Cypress Springs in set to be completed in August 2023, with preleasing starting in June 2023.

This year, Wood Partners has been expanding its presence in Houston, as well as across the nation, recently breaking ground on another community in Conroe, Texas. Alta Sergeant is a 354-apartment asset anticipated to open in May 2023, just a couple of months before Alta Cypress Springs is completed.
In another Southern hotspot, Wood Partners broke ground on a Raleigh, N.C., property anticipated to begin preleasing in summer 2023. Alta Town Center, which will have 336 units, will provide affordable housing to the Raleigh community.
