WNC & Associates Hires New SVP
Ann Caruana will be in charge of the company’s preservation equity funds product line, while also finding, underwriting, negotiating, financing and closing deals.
WNC & Associates has hired Ann Caruana as its new senior vice president of acquisitions. An industry veteran with more than 14 years of real estate experience, Caruana will be based in the firm’s Irvine, Calif., headquarters and will be in charge of the company’s preservation equity funds product line. Additionally, she will be responsible for finding, underwriting, negotiating, financing and closing deals.
She previously worked as senior vice president of acquisition for Avanath Capital Management, closing $250 million in affordable multifamily transactions, while also securing $157 million in new or assumable debt. Between 2005 and 2014, Caruana held various positions at BRE Properties, such as senior director of market research, director of market research, senior investment analyst and investment manager. More than 10 years ago, she began her career as a financial analyst with Marcus & Millichap.

Caruana holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a master’s degree in marketing and management from the University of Miami.
