Smoking could cause insurance rates to increase, and employers are finding incentive programs for employees to quit smoking have been unsuccessful. So, according to a recent story on Yahoo.com, employers could deny an applicant unemployment if they are a smoker. They might simply ask a job candidate if he is a smoker during the interview, or perform a drug test that searches for nicotine.
