Vero Sade debuted its first multifamily project with the opening of the Us Bayou Park property.
The developer began a major renovation process aimed at modernizing the four-story, 404-unit residential Houston community, then named City Vista, in the fourth quarter of 2021. Vero Sade handled construction in-house, while Preston Partnership and CASA Cos. were hired as interior designers.
Post-renovation, the Us Bayou Park property offers one- and two-bedroom units, ranging from 691 to 1,454 square feet. Among the amenities included are walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. Vero Sade is offering unfurnished and furnished units, with the latter available for short-term rentals.
Building amenities include a 10,000-square-foot multi-purpose communal space, two pools and a coffee and juice bar, as well as a dog park, a sundeck with grills and a pizza oven, outdoor yoga spaces and coworking spaces.
The building will also host a rotation of programs, including a cocktail spotlight taking place from late in the week until the weekend and trainer-led fitness classes.
Greystar will operate the community, which is currently 80 percent leased, and is located at 2221 W. Dallas St., near the popular Buffalo Bayou Park along the Allen Parkway corridor. The community’s location gives residents an easy commute to the area’s popular neighborhoods and employers including the Museum District, Upper Kirby, Greenway Plaza, The Heights and Texas Medical Center.
Debuting a new multifamily concept
The experimental “club living concept” is an attempt by Vero Sade to incorporate hospitality elements into a traditional multifamily community and is designed to build relationships with the tenants by providing programming and curated amenities.
Houston-based Vero Sade has other projects underway in San Antonio and Dallas.
