Uponor North America has released its upgraded ProPEX ball valves for PEX-a plumbing uses and hydronic heating and cooling.

The valves are engineered with high-performance, lead-free and dezincification-resistant brass alloy to perform reliably in commercial applications.

The units are designed with a full-port specification and positive tube stops that make it easier for installers to ensure the pipe goes on the valve without extending past a specified point. This feature reduces the potential for leaks from unstable connections.

The ProPEX ball valves also feature a reliable blowout-proof stem and an ASTM F1960 connection that provides a secure seal without the need for glues, torches or fire watch. The commercial valves are available in sizes from ½ inch to 2 inches, with a stainless steel ball and stem and stem extension kits to accommodate insulation up to 2 inches thick.
