Dallas-based Fountain Residential Partners has broken ground on the 46-unit, 174-bed Campus Walk student housing community on Nord Ave. in Chico, Calif. The property will serve the California State University-Chico and Butte College student bodies.
Located just 100 feet from the Chico State campus along a primary bike path, Campus Walk will offer fully furnished two- and four-bedroom unit plans that include all utilities, on-site management and maintenance. Common amenities include study rooms, a pool deck with movie screen and an outdoor fitness center and lounge area.
All Campus Walk units will include stone kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, pillow-top mattresses, 50-inch televisions with DVR, balconies and walk-in closets. Campus Walk is scheduled to open in time for the fall semester of 2018.
The community is being built by Chico-based general contractor Modern Building Inc. Aspen Heights Management, the third-party management division of Austin-based Aspen Heights Partners, will lease and manage the property.
“We were attracted to the Chico market due to the lack of new student housing available to the student body,” said Fountain Residential president Brent Little. “Fountain Residential is a two-minute bike ride and six-minute walk from the Chico State campus.”
