Tricia Van Horn Joins Related Midwest as Vice President of Marketing

Chicago—Related Midwest, a Chicago-based real estate developer, announced Tricia Van Horn has joined the firm as vice president of marketing. Related Midwest is part of New York-based Related Companies, one of the nation’s premier developers, managers and financiers of real estate properties.

Since joining Related Midwest in September 2012, Van Horn has been instrumental in the sales launch of South Loop Luxury by Related, the developer’s collection of 500 re-imagined residences across three buildings in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. Additionally, Van Horn is driving marketing for two luxury apartment towers that will add 1,000 rental units to the downtown Chicago market: 500 Lakeshore Drive, opening spring of 2013, and 111 W. Wacker Drive, opening spring of 2014.

Van Horn brings more than 12 years of industry experience to Related Midwest, including 6 years as vice president of marketing with Magellan Development group and affiliated property management company NNP Residential, after holding a previous marketing management position with Archstone-Smith.

A veteran marketer of high-profile Chicago developments, Van Horn previously launched Chicago rental properties such as the LEX, Aqua, The Tides and The Shoreham at Lakeshore East; Grand Plaza; 180 North Jefferson; Echelon at K Station; and One Superior Place. She also orchestrated successful condominium sales programs for Aqua, The Chandler and The Regatta at Lakeshore East.

As a licensed real estate broker and member of the Chicago Association of Realtors® Van Horn is a member of CREW Chicago (Commercial Real Estate Executive Women of Chicago).  A resident of Naperville, Van Horn holds a degree in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is active with community and civic organizations including The Chicago Loop Alliance and The Chicagoland Apartment Association.
