Transwestern Development Co. has opened the leasing center at The Hayworth, a new 246-unit luxury community located in the upscale Tanglewood neighborhood of Houston. Residents have begun to move into the $90 million tower, which is expected to be complete by early summer 2018.Â
Located at 1414 Wood Hollow Drive, the 8-story development includes spacious floorplans, ranging in size from a 934-square-foot one-bedroom unit to a 2,324-square-foot three-bedroom/three-bath unit.
Demand for larger apartment units in Houston is strong, with occupancy for these size units the highest among all unit types at some 94 percent, according to Transwestern. Rent growth is also highest among all unit types, at 0.3 percent, while one-bedroom and two-bedroom units are posting rent declines.Â
Apartments include open layouts, 10-foot ceilings, quartz countertops, hardwood floords, and full-sized washers and dryers.
Community amenities include:
- 2-acre private park
- concierge services
- yoga lawn
- resort-inspired pool with entertaining areas
- dog spa with secured dog park
In addition to the 248 residences, 10 townhomes will be available in 2018, starting at 1,986 square feet.
The community includes an esplanade connecting it to several retail options such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and several upscale restaurants and shops. It also offers east access to areas like Uptown, Downtown and the Energy Corridor.
The building will be managed by Greystar Management Services and was designed by 5G Studio, which also recently collaborated on the interior design of a luxury Houston community for StreetLights Residential.
