Thompson Thrift to Develop Reno Project
This marks the firm’s entry into the state.

Thompson Thrift will develop its first Nevada community, a 273-unit multifamily project in Reno. Dubbed Argent Flats, the development will welcome its first residents in September 2027.
The company will use equity from its Thompson Thrift 2026 Multifamily Development LP to capitalize the project. Partners on the project include Studio M Architecture & Planning.
The multifamily development will rise at 6000 Plumas St. in southwest Reno, on the site of a former tennis club that closed in 2020, according to NVBEX. The community will be close to several retail options, including the Firecreek Crossing and Redfield Promenade shopping centers. Reno-Tahoe International Airport and the city downtown will be within a 4-mile radius.

Argent Flats will rise four stories and include studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Apartments will have private balconies or patios, as well as yard options, walk-in closets and full-size washers and dryers.
Common-area amenities are set to include a two-story clubhouse, golf simulator, outing green and a two-story fitness center. Additionally, the property will have a heated swimming pool, grilling areas, coworking focus suites, courtyard, firepits, a dog park and a resident conference room.
Thompson Thrift’s growing multifamily inventory
As of the first quarter of this year, Thompson Thrift has developed more than 27,400 units across totaling north of $7.2 billion. This new project expands the company’s footprint to 24 states nationwide.
Just a few weeks ago, the firm announced plans for another community, namely the 300-unit Lineage in Dacula, Ga. First units at the four-story project are set to come online in 2028.
Thompson Thrift is also working on Canopy Flats, a 303-unit project in Overland Park, Kan. The company broke ground on the luxury community before the end of last year and expects to complete it in the second quarter of next year.
