Thompson Thrift to Develop Atlanta-Area Community
First units are slated for delivery in the second quarter of 2028.

Thompson Thrift is developing Lineage, a 300-unit community in Dacula, Ga. PNC Bank provided the construction loan for the project. First units are scheduled for delivery in April 2028.
Lineage will take shape at 801 Harbins Road in a Difficult Development Area. The four-story property will span some 15 acres and feature one- to three-bedroom floorplans. All units will have washers and dryers, side-by-side refrigerators, with some comprising private patios, balconies or yards.
Shared amenities at the pet-friendly community will include a fitness center, a swimming pool, a pickleball court, a golf simulator, an outdoor concert venue, as well as detached garages. Moreover, 9,500 square feet of retail will be available at street level.
U.S. Route 29 will border the property to the north. The community will be less than half a mile northeast of a Publix supermarket and several dining options. Downtown Atlanta is some 36 miles southwest.
Another 300-unit development made headlines in the Atlanta metro this month: Toro Development Co. will soon start construction work on Overlook, an upcoming multifamily community in Cumming, Ga. The property will be part of the 95-acre Cumming City Center mixed-use district.
In the broader context, a recent Yardi Matrix report reveals that Atlanta had a sizeable pipeline as of November 2025, comprising more than 24,000 units under construction. Nearly half of these projects commenced construction last year.
