The Park at Fox Trails—a 286-unit apartment community in Plano, Texas—is located on the Blue Bonnet Trail. But the most impressive on-site amenity, according to Property Manager Pam Humphries, is her team. “In the office, I have Susan, [the] assistant community manager. She’s always in a great mood, and people just naturally respond to her. Nathan, our leasing professional, is always fun to be around and has a great talent for leasing. And what can I say about Elvin, Fabian and Otto… they’re the best maintenance team an apartment manager could ask for. Yes, I think my team is our greatest amenity.”

Humphries came to the property in December 2011, not long after Trade Street Residential purchased it. When asked about a favorite aspect of her job, she said, “Each one of our residents is unique and has a story to tell. By learning about them, I have learned a great deal about myself. This has been one of my greatest joys at the Park at Fox Trails.”

Long-time resident Nancy moved to the area from New York State 23 years ago. She has lived at the Park at Fox Trails for 22 of those years. “As a single woman, I’ve always felt safe here, and the people who work here are very efficient and caring when I’ve needed anything.”

Humphries notes that in addition to her talented team,  the Park at Fox Trails also boasts great schools, shopping and dining, as well as proximity to I-75 and the Dallas North Tollway. “Location is so important, especially in today’s competitive market,” said Humphries. When asked about effective resident retention techniques, Humphries again refers to her team, in particular her maintenance staff. “They take care of the grounds as if they own them personally,” she adds. “Service requests are promptly taken care of. They accommodate our residents’ schedules whenever possible and always have a friendly word or a wave for everyone. They are the true backbone of the Park at Fox Trails.”
