Taylor Morrison Breaks Ground Outside Las Vegas
The community is being built within a nearly 23,000-acre master-planned urban district.

Taylor Morrison has broken ground on Esplanade at Red Rock, a 400-unit single-family community located on the western edge of Las Vegas. Upon completion, the community will be part of Summerlin, a 22,500-acre master-planned, mixed-use neighborhood.
Contemporary designs
Situated on West Lake Mead Boulevard, Esplanade at Red Rock will span 88 acres, with homes drawing on contemporary Palm Springs designs. Extending from 1,550 to 3,000 square feet in size, houses will span two to four bedrooms and will have garages for up to four cars.
Among the planned amenities of Esplanade at Red Rock will be a 10,000-square-foot community hub featuring a restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, pool and golf simulator.
“Many of the hurdles were addressed at the beginning of the project, like making sure we would be able to meet the demands of the area’s current needs,” said Bill Renteira, vice president of sales for Taylor Morrison’s Las Vegas division. “We did intensive market research to get the correct buyer segmentation addressed to best serve this community,” he said.
