StreetLights Residential Breaks Ground in AZ
The company assumed a $47.9 million loan to develop The Cameron, a 349-unit luxury community in Tempe.
StreetLights Residential has broken ground on its first luxury multifamily community in Tempe and third project in Arizona. Dubbed The Cameron, the 349-unit property will feature landscape designs by Linda Tycher & Associates, interior designs by 5G Studio and overall architectural direction by WDG Architecture. According to Yardi Matrix, StreetLights assumed a $47.9 million construction loan for The Cameron, held by Zions Bank.
The community will have four stories and comprise studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ranging in size from 504 to 1,660 square feet. Interiors will feature natural stone, metals and warm wood designs, with granite and quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and a surround sound system. Common-area amenities will include a resident bar, private dining space, a fitness center, yoga lawn, creative space, a swimming pool and bocce ball courts.
Attractive setting
StreetLights Residential’s newest luxury community will be situated at 2092 E. Rio Salado Parkway. Adjacent to the property is Tempe Marketplace, a large strip mall featuring multiple shopping and dining destinations. The Cameron is on the southern bank of Salt River and minutes away from Arizona State University, Tempe Campus. Major thoroughfares nearby include Loop 101 and 202, which provide access around the Phoenix metro.
“The Cameron speaks to StreetLights’ core design philosophy—it is built for longevity and will be a place that is endearing to the community based on its architecture, planning, and landscape design. We are excited to see our vision come to life—a new community that yields a modern, comfortable lifestyle with a full suite of amenities—set in booming and highly desired north Tempe,” said Doug Chesnut, StreetLights CEO, in a prepared statement.
