Steve Yoon Joins Wood Partners as Vice President of Development for Northwest Region

Steve Yoon, a Seattle real estate investment professional with over eight years of experience in the region, has been named vice president of development for Wood Partners’ Northwest Region.

Seattle—Steve Yoon, a Seattle real estate investment professional with over eight years of experience in the region, has been named vice president of development for Wood Partners’ Northwest Region.

Atlanta-based Wood Partners is among the nation’s leading multifamily housing developers, having started 21 communities and approximately 5,100 units in 2012.

Yoon oversees the company’s Northwest Region from its Seattle office, which opened in 2010. He is in the process of developing a 280 unit multifamily high rise in downtown Portland’s Pearl District, which Wood Partners is pursuing jointly with local developer Hoyt Street Properties. Once permits are approved, construction on the project could start as early as this fall 2013.

Prior to joining Wood Partners, Yoon served as a senior development manager for Harbor Urban in Seattle and its predecessor company, Harbor Properties. Yoon managed the development of several new construction projects as well as the management of stabilized residential assets.

Yoon earned a master’s degree in business from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2004. He also holds a master’s degree in construction management and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
