Starwood Hotels & Resorts Expands Turkish Portfolio with Addition of Two New Properties in Bursa
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has recently announced the expansion of their presence in Turkey with the opening of two new properties: Sheraton Bursa Hotel and Aloft Bursa Hotel.

Bursa, Turkey—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has recently announced the expansion of their presence in Turkey with the opening of two new properties: Sheraton Bursa Hotel and Aloft Bursa Hotel. The two hotels, owned by Faik Celik Holding, expand Starwood’s portfolio to nine hotels across Turkey and marks the company’s entrance into Bursa, the fourth most populated city in Turkey.

Aloft Bursa HotelBoth hotels are located in an emerging business and upscale residential area, adjacent to the Bursa New Cultural Green Park and a soon-to-be new football stadium. The Sheraton Bursa Hotel features 171 guest rooms, including 10 suites, and offers numerous luxury amenities for its guests. The Sheraton Shine Spa offers a traditional Turkish hammam and three private VIP hammams utilizing natural thermal water from the local hot springs, six spa treatment rooms, an indoor pool area and an outdoor pool area situated in a garden. The hotel has two restaurants, Prusa, which offers international cuisine and local specialties, and Naar, which is a Mediterranean restaurant featuring grill specialties. Other amenities include a fitness facility and over 30,000 square feet if indoor and outdoor meeting and event facilities.
The Aloft Bursa Hotel aims to shake up the Turkish mid-market segment and deliver stylish conditions at an affordable price. The hotel features 133 guest rooms, and amenities include a fitness center, a swimming pool, three meeting rooms and numerous tech features such as free wireless Internet access throughout the hotel. The guests also benefit from in-room, one-stop plug-and-play connectivity solution for multiple electronic gadgets, all linked to a large flat panel HDTV ready television.
