The two hotels, owned by Faik Celik Holding, expand Starwood’s portfolio to nine hotels across Turkey and marks the company’s entrance into Bursa, the fourth most populated city in Turkey.
“We are delighted to be working with Faik Celik Holdings, the owners of the Sheraton and Aloft Bursa, our first Starwood hotels in this important city in Turkey,” said Michael Wale, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East. “Bursa is an emerging metropolitan center of industry, culture, sport and leisure and we believe this combination of our differentiated lifestyle brands with a new city destination will make a compelling offer to global travelers.”
Both hotels are located in an emerging business and upscale residential area, adjacent to the Bursa New Cultural Green Park and a soon-to-be new football stadium. Other amenities include a fitness facility and over 30,000 square feet if indoor and outdoor meeting and event facilities.
The Aloft Bursa Hotel aims to shake up the Turkish mid-market segment and deliver stylish conditions at an affordable price. The hotel features 133 guest rooms, and amenities include a fitness center, a swimming pool, three meeting rooms and numerous tech features such as free wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.
