Starlight Acquires Orlando Community
The 356-unit Shingle Creek was developed by Altman Cos. and completed earlier this year. Featured amenities include a swimming pool and spa.
Starlight U.S. Multi-Family has acquired a 356-unit luxury community in Orlando, Fla., from the Altman Cos. The property was completed this year and is comprised of 15 low-rise apartment buildings.
Shingle Creek is located at 4350 W. Osceola Trail Road in the Hunter’s Creek neighborhood of Kissimmee, Fla., a suburb of Orlando. The community is situated 30 minutes from downtown Orlando and is near Interstate 4, State Road 417 and Florida’s Turnpike.
The property benefits from close proximity to planned commercial developments in the area, including the expansion of Tupperware Brands headquarters, Disney Springs, Florida Hospital Kissimmee and an Amazon fulfillment center.
The rental community offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units with an average of 981 square feet. Amenities at the property include a fitness center, business center, playground, swimming pool, spa and 490 parking spaces.
The management arm of the property’s developer, Altman Management Company, will manage the community for Starlight. In August 2017, Starlight Investments partnered with two institutional investors to launch a $1.3 billion acquisition drive to acquire Class A multifamily properties in suburban markets.
