Norfolk, Va.–For Rent Media Solutions has launched the ParaRentar.com mobile site. ParaRentar.com is a fully-translated Spanish apartment search site.
“The ParaRentar.com mobile site caters directly to the Spanish-speaking Hispanic audience,” says Terry Slattery, president of For Rent Media Solutions. “This is the first and only mobile website created with the Hispanic renter in mind. As of June 2010, the ForRent.com mobile site has generated 11 percent of traffic to ForRent.com. We hope to enjoy that same success with ParaRentar.com and the new mobile site.”
According to research conducted during a Spring 2010 Pew Internet study, 87 percent of Hispanics own a cell phone. Of that total, 83 percent use their phone to send and receive text messages, 51 percent access the mobile web, 47 percent send and receive emails, 36 percent use a social network sited and 33 percent watch video.
“Hispanic consumers are tech-savvy,” notes Elsa Morales, director of Hispanic Initiatives, For Rent Media Solutions. “According to the Pew Hispanic Center, Hispanics online are younger than the general U.S. Internet population and eight in 10 young Latinos, ages 16-25, have cell phones. Through our new mobile site, we are communicating with this technologically advanced demographic in a manner that works best for them.”
