Sherwin-Williams Presents New Primer
Being easily sanded to a uniform surface, Extreme Block adheres to multiple substrates, including wood, drywall, masonry and prepared metal.
Sherwin-Williams has introduced its new indoor/outdoor formula, Extreme Block Primer/Sealer. The new oil-based primer seals off stains caused by smoke, fire and nicotine, while also blocking tannin bleed from bare wood.
“Extreme Block joins other recently introduced coatings, such as Extreme Cover Stain Blocking Paint and Primer in One, as a key product in the property management and residential repaint toolkit,” said Steve Revnew, senior vice president of product innovation at Sherwin-Williams, in prepared remarks. “The fast-drying formula and powerful stain-blocking properties make it a great option for multifamily property managers, facility maintenance crews and other professionals looking to save time and maximize results.”
Featuring deep-surface penetration, the primer adheres to multiple substrates, including wood, drywall, masonry and prepared metal and it can also be top-coated with either acrylic or alkyd products. Fast-drying, Extreme Block is also easy to sand to a uniform surface.
