Foxford Launches Sales of Chicago TOD

The 28-unit property, which also features retail space, will be the first transit-oriented condo development in the Western Springs, Ill., neighborhood.

Foxford Station Front ViewFoxford Communities has kicked off pre-construction sales at Foxford Station, a 28-unit condominium development in Western Springs, Ill., a western suburb of Chicago. At this point, buyers will be able to select features to customize their unit.

Located at Wolf Road and Burlington Ave., Foxford Station will be the first transit-oriented condo development in Western Springs. The four-story building will include 3,600 square feet of first-floor commercial space, with residences on floors two through four.

Units will measure about 1,770 square feet to 3,060 square feet, with pre-construction prices ranging from $599,000 to $1 million. The residences will offer a variety of floorplans, including two- and three-bedroom options with a varied number of baths, along with private outdoor balconies or terraces with room for a grill and patio furniture.

Each unit will also include a master suite with a walk-in closet and master bath with a soaking tub, walk-in shower and double-bowl vanity. Residences will feature a laundry room with enough space for a full-capacity washer and dryer.

The property counts as TOD, because it’s within walking distance of the Western Springs Metra Station, which connects the suburb with Chicago. Foxford Station also has a Walk Score of 72, meaning that most errands can be accomplished without a car. Even so, each unit comes with two parking spots within the development’s heated parking garage.

FitzGerald Associates Architects designed the property. Smothers Realty Group is overseeing the sale of the units.
