clarendale-800x400Algonquin, Ill.—Developer-builder Ryan Cos. LCS and Harrison Street Real Estate have closed on Clarendale of Algonquin, their 186-unit senior housing project in Algonquin, a northwest suburb of Chicago. The enclosure is a major milestone in the construction of the facility; when completed in the fall of this year, the community will feature 186 units.

Clarendale of Algonquin will include 76 independent living units, 56 assisted living units and 54 memory care units, with a variety of unit configurations based on the type of care. The independent living units will include one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from about 720 square feet to 1,285 square feet. Assisted and memory care living units will include studio, and one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from roughly 310 square feet to 835 square feet.

Two unusual amenities incorporated into the development are a movie theater room for regular movie nights, and a crafts room. Other social amenities includes a bistro, a pub and billiards room, a club room and library, living rooms with fireplaces, a vaulted multipurpose room, a wellness center with a full-service salon, a fitness room, and a private patio and courtyard.

Clarendale of Algonquin is being developed on a 9.7-acre site at 2001 W. Algonquin Rd. According to the developers, the property is located near desired community amenities and services important to maintaining a level of connectedness that residents seek. The project has also been designed to complement the surrounding established residential neighborhood.

Clarendale of Algonquin is one of three Clarendale senior living communities that Ryan Cos. and its project partners are building. The community is being constructed by Ryan Cos. and will be managed by Life Care Services, an LCS Company.
