New York—Interested in an amenity that’s more bark than bite? Rockrose, a New York-based real estate company, has partnered with The Spot Experience, a dog services provider, to provide dog concierge services to eight of their buildings.
“Our dog concierge program allows building owners to partner with us to offer residents full-scale access to both in-house and off-site pet care, providing the ultimate amenity for the dog-owning tenant,” Mitch Marrow, founder and CEO of The Spot Experience, tells MHN. “Residents receive exclusive discounted services and priority access to the highest level of daycare, cage-free overnights, dog walking, transportation, grooming and training services at The Spot Experience locations in New York City. Spot also provides residents with a designated shuttle service, which includes highly trained dog handlers for pick-up and drop-off of pets at their apartments.”
The Spot Experience personnel and dog handlers in the communities are guaranteed to be insured, licensed and bonded, and they undergo comprehensive background checks. The company also provides veterinary technicians and animal behaviorists that employ the Human Alpha Instinct Method, which is proprietary to The Spot Experience.
Though it might seem unusual to provide amenities for dogs, more and more communities are embracing this trend. Rockrose is the third major real estate company to include The Spot Experience’s dog concierge program in their communities. Other companies that include the service include Rose Associates and ARGO Real Estate. By the end of the year, more than 30 buildings in New York City will include the dog concierge amenity. And its popularity shows no signs of slowing down in the future.
“In today’s evolving luxury market, where amenities such as fitness centers, pools, saunas, children’s playrooms and meeting space are commonplace, dog amenity programs are in high demand and being viewed as an essential component in the lifestyles of busy, high-end residents seeking the best quality of life for their pets,” Marrow says.
