“Groceries, restaurants and shops are so close, and the trail for running and biking is a huge plus for an active person like me!” —Walnut Creek, Calif.

“My significant other and I have enjoyed every aspect of living here. We’re active and love taking advantage of the tennis courts and running paths around the community.” —Fairfax, Va.

“An inclusive, active community that meets the needs of everyone, from single persons living alone to families of various sizes. They work hard to promote a positive image and integrated community.” —Fairfax, Va.

“My partner and I are both avid cyclists and not being able to keep our bikes on the patio has made us decide to seek other locations when our lease is up.” —Coconut Creek, Fla.

“I really enjoy living here. However, I am very displeased about the complete lack of any bike racks or places to store a bike. This is the only community I have ever lived in that has not provided any.” —Raleigh, N.C.

“Please invest in more exercise equipment. A set of dumbbells is missing, there are no floor mats and a bench or squat rack would be welcome.” —Denver

“I would really like it if the pool and exercise equipment would be available as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 11 p.m. It is hard for me to get there during the current hours.” —Omaha, Neb.

“My one real complaint is that there is no playground on the property for children. I’d love to see my son have the opportunity to socialize with other kids his age and get a little exercise in the process.” —Houston

“The exercise room needs a dedicated location where the remote control for the TV can be found. It is often misplaced or unavailable.” —Baltimore

“I was a little disappointed that fitness classes (like yoga) were not included in rent. I have visited many other apartment complexes that included them, and while it is not a deciding factor for me, I was surprised.” —Houston

“It would be nice if the fitness room got updated. As of now it is so outdated, old and the machines could even be considered dangerous.” —Athens, Ga.

“One of our top requests would be to make the gym separate from the main office so that residents can use it 24 hours. Most resident living here work a 9-5 job.” —Tacoma, Wash.

“Nice community, beautiful interior layout. I just wish the pool didn’t close when fall arrives because it’s still warm outside.” —Virginia Beach, Va.

“The saline swimming pool is one of hte best around and the spa is a real luxury. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. I feel like I’m living in a resort!” —Los Angeles

“It would be great if tennis lessons were offered! The courts don’t get that much use, and I know I would love to learn.” —San Diego
