Lennar Corporation subsidiary Quarterra Multifamily has launched leasing at Rowan, its new apartment community in Sparks, Nev., a fast-growing suburb of Reno. This property is Quarterra’s first in Nevada.
The garden-style, multifamily property has 360 units, with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments available. Residences range in size from 694 to 1,251 square feet. Features of the units include keyless entries and energy-efficient HVAC systems. An outdoor social lounge will include grill stations, a gaming area and a playground.
“Hard costs could have become an issue,” Jesse Herzog, Quarterra’s division president, Northern California, told Multi-Housing News. “But through aggressive negotiations with our general contractor and their ability to work with subcontractors and those associated costs, we have thus far been able to execute Rowan on time and on budget. We are excited to bring the Quarterra brand of extraordinary communities where people can live remarkably to Nevada.”
Located at 6026 Golden Triangle Way, Rowan is blocks from Vista Boulevard and Pyramid Parkway, which offer access to Reno and Spanish Springs, Nev. The community’s location offers residents access to restaurants, retail and entertainment. Recreation opportunities in the area include nearby Golden Eagle Regional Park, the Red Hawk Golf and Resort venue and a number of fitness options at Spanish Spring Canyon. Lake Tahoe is less than one hour away.
With a population of 100,000, Sparks has seen dramatic growth over the past three decades, with many newcomers seeking an alternative to the busier Reno area. Sparks is the metro area closest to the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, which houses the Tesla Motors Gigafactory. Other employers include the Sierra Nevada Corp.
This foray into Nevada comes two months after Quarterra initiated preleasing at a new Connecticut property.
