Product Spotlight: Soundwall Nova
The aluminum panel hides high-quality speakers in plain sight.
As the introduction of products like Nest and Amazon Echo prove, the line between technology and home products is becoming increasingly blurred. Now, a company called Soundwall is marrying technology with home decor with its product, a wall-mounted art piece that doubles as powerful speakers. With wireless Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection to devices and touch-screen feature navigation, the Soundwall Nova is a streamlined state-of-the-art speaker that takes the shape of traditional artwork. Soundwall offers more than 150 art choices or the option to use custom artwork.
The Soundwall Nova is a flat-panel speaker system created out of aluminum that works with any Bluetooth- or Wi-Fi-enabled device to play music through Distributed Mode Loudspeaker (DML) technology. The surface of the aluminum speaker reverberates as music is played, resulting in a clear sound quality that fills a room.
Features of the Soundwall Nova include: the touch bar, with which users can play, pause or skip songs with one touch; a manual volume slider; backlighting combination of RGB and LED lights, the color and brightness of which can be customized; energy-saving “presence” sensor only turns lights on when movement is detected. Certain features, like the light settings, are easily customized with Soundwall’s companion app.
For a multifamily leasing office, lobby, common room or apartment unit, the Soundwall Nova provides rich, hi-fi sound without the eyesore of mounted speakers as well as the added benefits of presence detection and access to cloud data. Soundwalls can be combined and customized to fit any space, and with the ability to use custom artwork, the product can be an opportunity to reinforce branding while also providing ambient lighting and music.
