Philly Realtors Catwalk for Good Cause

By Anuradha Kher, Online News EditorPhiladelphia–The Residences at Dockside recently teamed up with the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors to host a fashion show event to find “Philly’s Hottest Realtor,” as well as raise $12,000 for a non-profit organization, The Career Wardrobe. The organization serves thousands of women in transition throughout the greater Philadelphia region by providing free professional-looking clothing and educational opportunities.Eleven realtors from the Greater Philadelphia community took to the catwalk to compete for the crown with more than 200 colleagues, friends and family present at the event. Barbara Capozzi of Capozzi Real Estate was named Philly’s Hottest Realtor, followed by first runner-up Monica Flores (pictured), of RE/MAX Affiliates and second runner-up Christian David, of Keller Williams Realty. Judges included Sam Sherman, president of the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia; Diane Lucidi, CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors; and Martyna Sliwinska of Philadelphia STYLE magazine. Audience members also had a chance to vote for their favorite realtor by donating a $1 to The Career Wardrobe. In all, $12,000 in donations was raised.“We were overwhelmed by the amazing turnout from the community and their tremendous support of The Career Wardrobe,” says Victoria Teschner, director of sales and marketing at The Residences at Dockside. “It’s fun to bring everyone together for a good time, but it’s even better when it’s for a worthy cause.”Sheri Cole, executive director of The Career Wardrobe, adds, “We look forward to using these financial contributions to help further the success of our program and continue to help women throughout the Philadelphia region.”Realtors wore clothes from select high-end retailers in the Philadelphia region.
