Peak Campus, Blue Vista Capital Team Up in 2 College Towns

The developers plan a fall 2018 opening for student housing projects serving Syracuse University and North Carolina State.

Peak Campus and its investment partner, Blue Vista Capital Management LLC, have broken ground on two new student apartment communities to be located in Raleigh, N.C., and Syracuse, N.Y.

These projects are an ideal fit with our development/investment philosophy of building well-located and differentiated assets in major university markets,” Jeff Githens, Peak Campus’ president of development, told MHN. “Both markets are experiencing growing enrollments and growing demand for well-located student apartments that are walkable to campus and the surrounding city centers.”

The 525-bed Raleigh project will serve students of NC State University. The development will consist of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments that come fully-furnished with top-of-the-market finishes including granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, hardwood-style flooring and upgraded lighting and cabinetry.

Amenities will include a resort-style pool, a fitness center, a business center, study/conference areas, a game room with golf simulator, a package locker system, as well as ample parking and bike storage.

The project’s location in the heart of the Hillsborough Street corridor within blocks of the NC State campus and Cameron Village will have great appeal to the NC State student community,” Githens said. “The project’s extensive amenities and best-in-class residential offering will make this an ideal fit for NC State students.”

The Syracuse project is a planned 601-bed community that will serve students of Syracuse University. The community will consist of studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments that come fully-furnished with top-of-the-market finishes including granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, hardwood-style flooring and upgraded lighting and cabinetry.

The amenity package will include a fitness center, a hot tub, a business center, study/conference areas, a game room, a package locker system, as well as ample parking and bike storage.

The apartment community is located two blocks from the Syracuse University campus on Genesee St., which is the primary east-west corridor between the University and downtown Syracuse.

Both new properties are scheduled to open in the fall of 2018.
