Copaken Brooks and Altus Properties have opened Arterra, a 126-unit luxury community in downtown Kansas City, Mo. The building is the first high-rise development built in the city’s Crossroads Arts District. According to Yardi Matrix data, the developers funded the construction using a $29.1 million loan from Simmons Bank.

Located at 2100 Wyandotte St., the building is close to several shops, restaurants and galleries and provides easy access to Interstate 35. Construction of the property began in mid-2017, with HOK providing design and architecture services. Arterra features studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as 1,800 square feet of first-floor retail space. Amenities at the 12-story building include:

  • fitness center
  • clubhouse
  • swimming pool and spa
  • 153 parking spaces
  • outdoor grills and fire pit
  • bike storage

Arterra is just one of Copaken Brooks’ projects in the city’s Crossroads Arts District. Recently, the company broke ground on a 132-unit mixed-use project, in partnership with CP Real Estate Capital and Burns & McDonnell.
