Dominium has closed on construction of Brighton Oaks, a soon-to-be-built affordable housing community located in New Brighton, Minn.

The finish project will add 154 affordable units to Ramsey County, 11 miles outside of Minneapolis.

The development team for the project includes Dominum Construction, BKV Group, Loucks, Winthrop & Weinstine P.A, Dougherty & Co. LLC, Commercial Partners Title and the City of New Brighton.

Brighton Oaks will supply residents with amenities such as a clubroom, communal kitchen, fitness room, indoor children’s play area, outdoor park and an outdoor area with grilling stations and activity spaces.

The community was financed by a Freddie Mac Forward Tax Exempt Loan, a taxable supplemental loan and a construction loan supplied by Citi and Citibank. Other financing costs were supplied by Alliance Bank and WNC & Associates.

Last year, Dominium opened an affordable senior housing community in Spring Lake, Minn.
