Disney World enthusiasts will soon have more options to live within a stone’s throw of Mickey and Goofy, after PCCP LLC has teamed up with Fore Property Co. to develop a 352-unit Class A multifamily community in Winter Garden, Fla.

The partners have broken ground on the project and completion is scheduled for late 2020. The roughly 16-acre site is located at 13324 Flamingo Crossings Blvd., just outside the Disney resort’s main western entrance. The planned, fully entitled community, The Westerly, will serve the growing Orlando metro-area population as the only new multifamily community in the immediate neighborhood.

The property aims to achieve LEED Silver certification and will offer eight studios, 144 one-bedroom units, 160 two-bedroom units, and 40 three-bedroom units across six four-story buildings, with an average unit size of 991 square feet. The Westerly will also feature surface parking, 60 spaces within detached garages, a clubhouse, pool and various outdoor amenities.

The site’s location at the intersection of Flamingo Crossings Boulevard and Western Way, 0.4 miles from Florida State Road 429, offers quick access not only to the attractions of the Disney theme parks and resorts but also the upcoming, 500-acre Flamingo Crossings master development.

The mixed-use, tourist-oriented retail district between Flagler Avenue and Flamingo Crossings Boulevard has started construction. Flamingo Crossings will be anchored by Disney’s Flamingo Crossings Village Center, a 400,000-square-foot shopping center. Five name-brand hotels are also under construction within the development.
