The second phase of development at Post South Lamar, a 344-unit community located near Lady Bird Lake, downtown Austin and the University of Texas, is now complete. Mid-America Apartment Communities’s property is available for leasing and slated to open in mid-June.
Post South Lamar Phase II occupies three acres at 1500 South Lamar Blvd. The property offers residents a unit mix comprising studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans ranging in size from 401 to 1,190 square feet, as well as 600 square feet of restaurant and retail space. Units feature washer and dryer hookups, above standard ceiling height, dual-pane glass, granite countertops, deep-soak tubs and tile floors in baths.
Common area amenities include a courtyard with urban garden and outdoor dining area, two pools—a large one surrounded by seating groups and chaise lounges, a concrete ping pong table, barbecue grill, loggia and TV area; a smaller pool is located at the back of the property, surrounded by chaise lounges. The community also features a fitness center with cardio equipment and training area, a lounge with numerous seating groups, pool tables and bar area, a rooftop terrace with panoramic views overlooking downtown Austin and the Texas Hill Country. In addition, residents benefit from a yoga/spin class facility with treadmills.
The first phase of the project, finalized in 2013, consists of 298 units built on a four-acre lot at the same address.
