Charlottesville, Va.—The management of Charlottesville‘s newest purpose-built student housing asset, The Flats at West Village, has been awarded to Peak Campus Management. The student housing development is under construction near “the corner” area at the University of Virginia (UVA) in Charlottesville, Va., and will open to residents in the fall of 2014. Peak Campus Management will start its leasing efforts with the return of students for the fall semester.
Targeting UVA students, The Flats at West Village will stand six stories high, deliver 622 beds and provide a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units with bed-to-bath parity. Residences will feature upscale touches that include 9-foot ceilings and in-unit washers and dryers.
Amenities offered at The Flats at West Village include a state-of-the-art fitness center and expansive courtyard featuring an outdoor grilling and fire pit area.
A resort-style pool with hot tub, extra storage space, computer lab room and tanning bed will also be part of the amenity package.
“This project is a perfect complement to our existing presence in Charlottesville, which targets graduate students in a different area of campus,” says Bob Clark, president of Atlanta-based Peak Campus Management. “The fact that we were awarded this project is a direct result of Peak’s proven ability to perform in the local market. We are excited to bring that same high level of execution to The Flats at West Village.”
Peak Campus Management oversees more than 28,000 beds valued at more than $1.8 billion for investors nationwide.
