Pathway to Living Launches Chicago-Area Senior Housing

Heartis Village of Orland Park includes 72 assisted-living units across a three-story building and 24 units in a memory-care wing.

Pathway to Living has announced the opening of a new assisted living and memory care community on the southwestern outskirts of Chicago. Developed by Caddis Healthcare Real Estate and managed by Pathway, the 96-unit Heartis Village of Orland Park marks the second collaboration between the two companies.

The 89,622-square-foot property is situated at 7420 W. 159th St. in Orland Park, Ill., near the intersection of routes 6 and 43. The area east is home to various shopping and dining option, while the George Dunne National Golf Course is within a 10-minute drive away.

Assisted living and memory care

Heartis Village comprises a three-story, 72-unit assisted living building and a single-story, 24-unit memory care wing. The assisted living apartments range in size from 371 to 1,032 square feet, across one-bedroom/one-bath, one-bedroom-plus-den/one-bath and two-bedroom/two-bath options. The memory care units, measuring between 260 and 360 square feet, feature either private-shower or shared-shower layouts.

The community provides memory care residents a central, secure courtyard and a signature memory care program, while Pathway’s VIVA! services provide social, educational and recreational activities for all tenants. Common-are amenities include:

  • library and technology center
  • therapy gym and fitness center
  • doctor’s suite

“Heartis Village offers a range of housing options for both individuals and couples – all designed to anticipate resident needs,” said Maria Oliva, chief operating officer at Pathway to Living, in prepared remarks. “Careful planning goes into the configuration of each apartment to maximize comfort and functionality.”
