Cincinnati Community Starts Construction

This project is expected to open its doors in spring 2026.

Multifamily real estate developer Milhaus and partner Parse Capital have started construction on an apartment and townhome community in Springdale, Ohio, a suburb outside of Cincinnati. Slate is set to be a 306-unit community—216 apartments and 90 townhomes.

The community, located at 505 W. Crescentville Road, will be comprised of 22 buildings. Homes will feature quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances.

The community will include a lounge, a pool fit with a sun deck, a fitness center and a bark park. First Financial Bank is providing financing.

Residents are in close proximity to various transit options and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, located 32 miles away. Recreationally, Slate is 3.5 miles away from a Dave & Busters and the Full Throttle Adrenaline Park, a quarter of a mile away from Showcase Cinema and 4 miles away from the Glenwood Gardens featuring hiking and walking trails and other outdoor activities. Downtown Cincinnati is less than 20 miles away.

Previously, Milhaus completed a similar project, Array, located less than a mile from the Slate site. Construction of the 216-unit community began in 2022 and wrapped in 2024. From March 2024 to February 2025, Array’s occupancy rose from 81.9 percent to 90.3 percent, according to Yardi Matrix data.

Also in Ohio, the real estate developer began construction on a project in Hilliard, a Columbus neighborhood, in 2024. Milhaus and partner Harbor Group International are currently building the 359-unit community, expected to come online in 2026 .
