NYC Housing Partnership Names New EVP

NYC Housing Partnership has appointed Esther Toporovsky as executive vice president. The nonprofit organization is the primary intermediary for the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing in New York.

Toporovsky joins the group from Enterprise Community Partners, where she served as program director for green communities for approximately 10 years. Throughout her tenure with Enterprise, she led green capital and financing initiatives for community development. Earlier in her career, she held positions with Earth Day Initiative and Yahoo.

The newly appointed executive vice president holds a master’s degree in real estate and community development finance from The New School in New York. She also previously earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the same institution.

Over the span of four decades, NYC Housing Partnership has facilitated the development of more than 60,000 affordable homes. In May, the group joined forces with Camber Property Group in its $82 million acquisition of a 385-unit Brooklyn portfolio.
