S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. has opened the doors of its newest apartment community, located in Frederick, Md. The $50 million development, named The Fred, broke ground last year and represents the company’s first project in Maryland. Morgan-Keller Construction Co. was the general contractor for the 240-unit community. Nusbaum Realty was also recently retained to manage a luxury community in Annapolis Junction, near Baltimore.
The Fred is located at 402 Harlan Way and features 32 one-bedroom, 144 two-bedroom and 64 three-bedroom units. Common amenities include a clubhouse, a 24-hour fitness center, a swimming pool, a playground and a car charging station. The community is energy-efficient and pet-friendly, allowing up to two pets per unit.
The Fred’s location put Baltimore and Washington, D.C. just an hour’s drive away. Downtown Frederick is 10 minutes away from the property. Waverly Elementary School and Rock Creek Public School are near the community, only a few minutes away by foot. W. Patrick Street is about a mile away and features multiple diners, restaurants, retailers, shopping malls and department stores.
