By Adrian Maties, Associate Editor Singapore—The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), a Chicago-based organization, has announced at the end of June the winner of its first ever Urban Habitat Award for The Interlace, a residential development completed in Singapore late last year. The Interlace was developed by CapitaLand Residential, a leading developer in Asia, and Hotel Properties Limited. The designer was by Ole Scheeren, a former partner of the Rotterdam-based Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). The apartment community covers about 1.8 million square feet of land. Historic Indy Building Gets New Facade
The complicated process of renovating the historic Litho Press building in Indianapolis passed another milestone this week with the completed restoration of the building’s façade. Initially planned as a three or four part of the overall renovation, the façade work actually took about six months.
