New Student Housing Community Set to Open in FL

The 96-unit student housing community marks Mallory & Evans Development’s first project in the Florida market. The property is scheduled to open in August.

Caliber Living’s Bellamy Daytona Student Apartments, a 376-bed student housing community in Daytona Beach, Fla., is 100 percent leased. Mallory & Evans Development broke ground on the $26 million property in May of last year. The development marks Mallory’s seventh student housing project and its first in the Florida market.

Scheduled to open in August, the fully-furnished, 96-unit property serves students attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona State College, The Florida State University College of Medicine, The University of Central Florida, Bethune-Cookman University and Keiser University.

Located at 601 Bellamy Ct., near Halifax Hospital, the four-story community features a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom units ranging from 1,134 to 1,949 square feet. In-unit amenities include washers/dryers, private bathrooms, air conditioners, stainless steel appliances and dishwashers.

Bellamy Daytona includes common-area amenities such as a 24-hour computer lab, 24-hour study rooms, tanning studio, 24-hour fitness center, hammock garden, swimming pool, outdoor grilling areas, clubhouse and bark park. Additionally, security and smart home technology including Amazon Alexa, smart TV and a thermostat and lock controlled by smartphone app, are integrated into each apartment.
