Chicago—Golub & Co. has developed Moment, a 490-unit luxury apartment tower in the heart of Chicago’s bustling Streeterville neighborhood.
Located at 545 N. McClurg Court, the 45-story building welcomed its first residents in late July. The building was designed to meet LEED Silver standards, and features nearly 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including many spaces designed to address wellness and healthy living.
“Health and wellness is a particular focus within Moment, designed for residents who are committed to healthy living and crave the convenience of yoga, massage and similar amenities down the hall—not down the street,” Golub & Co. senior vice president & principal Paula Harris told MHN. “The building enhances the urban living experience in the heart of Streeterville, providing amenities and features that give residents the space to take a mindful break from their always-on lifestyles.”
The units are a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, and feature floor-to-ceiling windows, plank flooring, European-style frameless cabinetry, marble mosaic backsplashes, pearl quartz countertops in kitchen and bath, stainless steel appliances and in-unit washer-and-dryer sets.
Amenities include a fitness hub and yoga studio, sauna and steam spa, massage room, meditation garden and rooftop pool and lounge. There’s also a demonstration kitchen, entertainment gallery, media theater, coffee-and-tea bar, self-service pet spa, business center, as well as cabanas and grilling stations. The building also includes an attached 290-car parking garage and 5,200 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Streeterville has become one of the premier live-work-play neighborhoods in Chicago, and residents can easily commute to the Loop or River North or to jobs or classes at the downtown campuses of Northwestern, Loyola, University of Chicago and other renowned institutions. They can shop and dine on nearby Michigan Avenue, go for a run or walk on the Chicago Riverwalk or Lakefront Trail, and attend events at nearby cultural destinations like the Museum of Contemporary Art and Chicago Shakespeare Theater at Navy Pier.
“Chicago’s urban neighborhoods continue to experience high levels of demand. Moment meets the needs of Chicagoans who want convenience and luxury in a premier location downtown,” Harris said. “Its amenities and design offer something for every demographic—from Millennials who want to be near work, school and social opportunities to Boomers who are leaving their empty nests in the suburbs to return to the city.”
