U.S. commercial real estate’s very compelling risk-adjusted returns are attracting both domestic and international investors and should boost the U.S. CRE investment sales market this year, says Stoffers. Stoffers also points out that banks’ “kicking the can down the road” strategy with regards to lending may have been proven to be the correct strategy afterall. All major lenders will increase their level of activity this year, he says.
