Matan to Bring 352 Luxury Apartments to Urbana
Matan Cos. has joined forces with Morgan Keller, Grimm+Parker and Gables Residential to develop a luxury apartment community in Frederick County, Md.

Urbana, Md.—Matan Cos. of Frederick, Md. plans to bring 352 luxurious apartments to the city of Urbana by the spring of 2017.
Matan is joining forces with Morgan Keller and architect Grimm + Parker to develop Urban Green Apartments, a 352-unit, eight-building luxury apartment community at the corner of Fingerboard Road and Urbana Pike. Gables Residential will manage the property.
The Urban Green residential project calls for the construction of five four-story elevator buildings to be built on a podium slob, and three four-story walk-up apartment buildings. One of the five podium structures will also incorporate 12,000 square feet of ground floor retail space.

Amenities at Urban green will include: a resort-style pool with sundeck; an outdoor grilling station; a clubhouse and community garden; an on-site fitness center; a dog park and pet spa; and underground parking space.
The team working on the project intends to open the clubhouse and start pre-leasing by March 2016, with the first 48 apartment units expected to be delivered by May 2016. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2017.
